Sunshine Mill Winery Tasting Room for Quenett Cellars is Open! Wine tasting begins daily at 12:00pm!
The city of The Dalles has completed the roundabout just outside of our building increasing accessibility to our facility.
We are bottling Copa di Vino in the Sunshine Mill- check out the website for more information! www.copadivino.com Our Amphitheatre & Courtyard are complete, and ready to be enjoyed! We frequently feature musicians in the amphitheatre, so check the "events" page for upcoming shows!

06/11/2010 The first phase of the renovation is complete- we've opened our tasting room in the Mill portion of the building and The City of The Dalles has completed the construction on the roundabout. Next up: our landscaping is going to be completed in the coming weeks so that we will have a mini-amphitheatre, a grassy courtyard and a smoother parking lot! Currently we do have a nice patio under the silos where you can enjoy your wine, which will remain as the other components are added. "The most recent design and engineering work on the grain Silos has shown the building to have marvelous potential as a 12 story gravity operated winery with 49 round hotel rooms inside the silo winery. This unique design will feature two silo atrium that will contain the 80 foot tall illuminated wine chandeliers that act as the gravity wine tubes to pass wine from the 11th story crush room to the 2nd story concrete wine fermentation tanks in the lobby tasting room of the Silo hotel".
"This visual interpretation of wine will be enhanced by the stay in round hotel rooms built inside reused 100 year grain silos. Many of the sustainable design concepts are focused on creating unique experiences for travelers at the same time as having a world class functional operating facility for the Martin Family of Quenett Winery. The Sunshine Mill invites you to participate in the renovation of this historic flour mill. This transformation which will develop the former mill into an artisan plaza with a destination hotel and boutique winery built inside the grain silos has begun!
Our development team is creating a unique experience for artisans, chefs, wine and cheese makers, while rejuvenating this historic mill property in The Dalles Oregon. Part laboratory, part living room, always entertaining, while embracing the grace of the past with the strength of its exciting future. A think tank and testing ground for artists, vintners, chefs and entrepreneurs to develop and market their goods under one vision.
06/11/2010 update:
The Historic Sunshine Mill has re-opened in our first phase of renovation which includes the Quenett Tasting Room, Copa di Vino bottling facility and retail sales and will soon include a beautiful courtyard and mini amphitheatre! The Brewery Grade Roundabout is complete, convenient and sleek! On the South side of the Roundabout is a parking lot with eighteen spaces for our guests (just East of Cannon Packer). We hope you'll all take a stroll through the rejuvenated East end of The Dalles and enjoy the new sidewalks, lovely landscaping around the Round-About and stop into The Sunshine Mill to see all of our hard work!
